A dear volunteer made the most beautiful reading nook under the trees, with a fire pit! We took advantage of it by having s’mores and games! What a lovely day to sit under the trees and take in all of God’s beauty!

We had some of our community helpers come visit us last week at Lighthouse! In fact, one of our very own is a fireman, and so he brought his friends and showed the students the trucks and how they are used to put fires out.Then the older toddler class had a chance to put chalk “fires” out in the back forty! Thank you firemen friends!

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! We honor teachers in every entity as we have collaborations, relationships and networking with so many talented and amazing teachers, so here’s to each one of you making a difference each and every day!
I especially want to honor the teachers at Lighthouse Early Learning and Legacy Academy for their outstanding contributions to each child’s learning, and for the relationships they nurture each and every day! I’m blessed to have the most dedicated staff! Thank you for the seen and the unseen that you do each and every day!

Embracing the chance for a much needed break from class work, this past week, we stepped away from our rooms and into the nurturing arms of the great outdoors. The older kids led the way, sharing their insights with the younger ones as they discovered the enchantment of the woods, basking in the warm sunlight and sturdy footing of their rubber boots.

Literacy is a precious gift that broadens our horizons, kindles our imagination, and enriches our language. It is a treasure that should be cherished! Our kindergartner's love for reading is commendable and will serve them well throughout their journey of learning and growth.

Lighthouse students have been learning about the 3 R’s-Recycling, Re-using and Reducing! Classrooms have had various activities about Earth Day from learning about the world to how we can reduce the amount of items we use, and exactly what equates to waste versus recycling!
