Now Hiring: Full-Time Preschool Teacher Aide and Two Part-Time Teachers
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing, and reliable teacher to join our team. Positions available include a part-time Infant Teacher and a part-time Preschool Teacher Aide. Immediate start.

Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Completion of OCC-approved Safe Sleep training
• Completion of at least 2 hours of Oregon-specific child abuse and neglect training within 30 days of hire
• Current First Aid and CPR certification with hands-on training (online-only courses not accepted)
• Current Oregon food handler certification (ORS 624.570)
• Willingness to complete at least 15 hours of annual childcare-related training, including a minimum of 8 hours in child development or early learning
• A genuine love for working with children
• Creativity is a plus, though not required

Job Responsibilities:
• Provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment that supports children’s self-esteem, confidence, and independence
• Change diapers every two hours or as needed
• Prepare meals and snacks following USDA food guidelines
• Create and implement weekly and monthly lesson plans
• Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and engagement
• Build positive, honest, and supportive relationships with children and their families
• Foster kindness, sharing, and positive social skills through play, guidance, and meaningful interactions
• Show up each day ready to love, teach, and support the children in your care

Pay Range:
Starting pay is $16 per hour, with the potential to earn up to $23 per hour depending on education and qualifications.

🦁🎨 Our little artists got to roar into some fun! 🧡💛

Our babies had so much fun painting their very own lions while exploring yellow and orange paint! They especially loved using pom-poms to paint, giving them a fun opportunity to practice and strengthen their fine motor skills. 🥰

We love watching our little ones learn, explore, and get creative through hands-on activities! 🎨🦁✨

What an unforgettable way to end our summer!
Our Preschool and After‑School friends loaded onto the school bus with so much excitement—you could feel the energy before we even pulled out of the parking lot. With 24 kiddos (10 preschoolers and 14 school‑age friends), three teachers, and one amazing bus driver who volunteered to join us simply because she loves her job, we had the perfect crew for a perfect day.

After a little over an hour on the road, we arrived at Wildlife Safari ready for adventure. The kids enjoyed an incredible guided tour through the drive‑through exhibit, learning all about the animals we saw up close. We ate a hot lunch together, played on the playground, and soaked in every moment of exploration and discovery.

Here are some of the cool facts we learned:

*Giraffes — Their tongues can be up to 20 inches long and are dark to protect them from sunburn while they eat!

* Bears — They have an incredible sense of smell, sometimes seven times stronger than a bloodhound.

* Zebras — Each zebra’s stripes are completely unique, just like human fingerprints.

* Painted African Dogs — They are one of Africa’s most successful hunters because they work together as a team.

* Hippos — They are the most dangerous animals to humans in Africa—not because they’re aggressive, but because they are extremely territorial.

It was truly the perfect combination of learning, laughter, and adventure. Ending our summer at Wildlife Safari was the best decision, and we can’t wait to share more with you.

🍋 Our Final Lemonade Stand update — Thank You, Community! 🍋

As we wrapped up our lemonade stand, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. Thank you to every single person who stopped by, bought lemonade and cookies, donated cash, or dropped off gently‑used items. Your kindness made a real difference.

Because of your support, we were able to donate $480 in cash, and our school purchased $750 worth of children’s clothing, bottles, pacifiers, bottle cleaners, breast‑milk bags, and nursing pods for families in need. We also collected a full bucket of gently‑used clothing and toys that will go directly to families who can use them.

What touched me the most wasn’t just the donations — it was the kids.
They sat in the hot sun, worked hard all day, and then were genuinely excited to go shopping for someone else. Watching their joy as they picked out items for another child was honestly the best part of the entire experience.

One child in particular, who has been with me since he was 2½ and is now seven, was absolutely glowing with excitement. Seeing that kind of kindness grow in a child — knowing it’s part of who they are and part of what we’ve taught them — truly moved me.

If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of help during a difficult time, you know how powerful and humbling that feeling is. I’ve been there myself, and being able to give back now — and teach these kids the beauty of giving — is something I’m honored and blessed to do.

🍋 Our Lemonade Stand Was a Huge Success! 🍋

We are so proud to share that our kiddos raised $421.75 through lemonade sales and generous donations. Between the money they earned and the kindness of our community, they surpassed every expectation.

What mattered most wasn’t just the total — it was the lesson.
The children learned that running a lemonade stand takes real work: mixing, pouring, greeting customers, staying patient in the heat, and working together as a team. They were hot, tired, and still smiling because they knew they were doing something meaningful.

Most importantly, they discovered the joy of giving.
They learned that helping an organization that supports families in our community feels even better than receiving something for themselves. Watching their excitement as they realized they were making a difference was the best part of the day.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, donated, stopped by, or shared our event. You helped teach our kids a powerful lesson in kindness, effort, and community.

Hi families! 🍋💛

As most of you know, we will be having our lemonade stand this Friday for our school-age kiddos! All money raised from the lemonade stand will be donated directly to our local Family Nurturing Center. 💕

We will also be collecting donations for the Family Nurturing Center. If anyone has gently used children’s clothing or other children’s items that they would like to donate, we would be incredibly grateful! The Family Nurturing Center and the families they support would truly appreciate anything you’re able to give. 🥰
