WHAT A NIGHT FOR GRANITE CITY MMA. 🥊🔥

Time again for the day after post, a day late. It was a busy weekend so I apologize. Friday night was a very bittersweet night for me personally. There are a lot of reasons for that, but I’ll keep those reasons to myself. What matters most is what these two fighters accomplished and how they represented our gym on a worldwide stage in front of millions of people.

Sophia:
In this camp, we put a huge emphasis on footwork, angles, movement, pivots, pressure, and adding more power to her striking. After her last fight, I really wanted to see a stronger pressure game, and the difference was night and day.

The movement, the angles, the pivots, the pressure—and judging by the damage, the power was definitely there. 💥

Everything we worked on throughout this camp came flourishing in that fight. It was an absolute striking display, and watching you put it all together made me incredibly proud to be your coach.

Second-round doctor stoppage. Excellent job, Sophia. You earned every bit of it. 👊🔥

Chris:
Oh, crafty Chris… 😏

Per usual, Chris goes out there and finishes in devastating fashion. What a way to make your BKFC debut!

I knew this would be a good fit for you, but I honestly didn't realize just how good of a fit it would be. After last night, I think it’s safe to say the 85 division just got put on notice. 💥

To say I'm proud of you both doesn't even begin to explain it.

Thank you for representing Granite City MMA the way you do. Thank you for being coachable, listening to every little detail, trusting the process, and having the confidence in me to bring you to the Big Show.

You both stepped into that spotlight in front of millions of people and performed as well as I could have ever asked.

As your coach, I am honored, humbled, and truly happy to have been part of this journey with you both.

A special thank you to BKFC for giving these fighters such an incredible platform to compete on and for treating the fighters top notch from start to finish. It’s an honor to have our athletes competing on this stage. 🥊

And to everyone who helped me get these two ready for this event—thank you. It takes a team to make nights like this happen.
