Ms. Youngblood’s class had a sweet time with S’more Science! Students enjoyed a hands-on experiment where they made predictions, conducted the experiment, and analyzed their results. It was a fun—and delicious—way to learn about heat and the science behind it!

We asked our staff how long they’ve been in education… then made them LOOK that age! 👵👴😂

Some of these transformations are a little too good! 🎬👇

✨ BYRD READERS ARE ON FIRE! ✨

Our Back to School Beanstack Challenge is off to an AMAZING start!

Students in 3rd–5th grade are working toward reading 200 minutes between August 3–31, and look at what we’ve accomplished so far:

📖 161 active readers
⚡ We’ve officially reached SPARK STATUS — meaning at least 10% of our students are participating!
🏆 22 students have already completed the full 200-minute challenge!
⏱️ Together, we’ve logged OVER 15,000 MINUTES!

And we’re just getting started! 🎉

Our BIG school-wide goal is to read 120,000 minutes by the end of the school year! Every minute logged gets us a little closer.

Keep reading, keep logging, and keep watching Beanstack — you never know when we might have a random reader drawing!

📅 Back to School Challenge ends August 31!

Who will be our next student to hit 200 minutes?!

Yesterday was our first Student-Selected Club Day, and what a great day it was!

Students had the opportunity to choose a club that interested them and participate during the school day. This is a wonderful example of Student Voice, one of the key components of Leader in Me.

Our students had a fantastic time exploring their interests, making choices, and learning alongside their peers. We loved seeing their excitement and engagement throughout the day!
