This last weekend, February 21, 22. Your Granite Falls Tigers had 7 compete at the WIAA Mat Classic State wrestling tournament and 2 alternates. These boys went out and competed with the best in the state at 1A. The tigers had 4 boys that placed in the top 8. The team placed 9th out of 45 teams.

These boys went out and showed pride, determination and confidence. They showed up and represented. We as a community, and school should be proud of what these student athletes have accomplished as a team and individuals.

Ben Vanderwel 2nd place

Congratulations to all the tiger wrestlers. This team wouldn't be so successful without the countless hours that you have all put into the program. Be proud of all your accomplishments. If wrestling was easy, everyone would participate.

Thank you for entertaining us throughout the high school season. It has been an honor watching you all grow into better people.

Congratulations to the Granite Falls Tigers Wrestling team for winning the North Sound Conference League championship. These boys have worked really hard this year. The tigers went 5-0 in league and 8-1 overall. Job well done.

Yesterday our Granite falls tigers competed at the Sky Valley Invitational in Sultan. There were 15 teams from around the state from all classifications, 4A-B. The Granite Falls Tigers walked away with 2nd place as a team.
We had several of the boys that finished in the top 3.
Congratulations to all of you that competed yesterday. You should be proud of all your accomplishments.

Over the Weekend at a very competitive Hammerhead wrestling tournament one of our Tiger wrestlers won his 100th High School career win. CONGRATULATIONS Hayden Long.

The Granite Falls Tigers wrestling team ended the tournament in 12th place out of 52 teams. We had two tiger wrestlers place. Riley hoople placed 3rd out 31 kids@ 113lbs Hayden Long placed 3rd out of 41 kids @ 160lbs. The whole team wrestled great over the two days.
You should all be very proud of your accomplishments.
The Van's should return by 10pm this evening.
