We Escaped! 🕵️‍♂️📚 (And maybe found a few spiders along the way?)

What an incredible night! Last evening, over a hundred of our brave Baton Bears and their families took on Unlocking Potential: The Great Escape Room Challenge for our Title I Parent Workshop—and you completely blew us away!

Armed with decoder pop-it keyrings, maps, and serious determination, our literacy explorers traveled to every corner of the school to tackle brain-busting challenges rooted in the Science of Reading. Watching parents and students decode clues, solve puzzles, and collaborate was absolute magic.

Thanks to your hard work, every student left with brand-new books to add to their home libraries! (Be sure to check out the attached photos of our legendary Teacher Treasure Chests bursting at the seams with stories ready to be read.)

Even our non-human guests got in on the action—scroll through the photos to catch a glimpse of one student’s toy spider, who snuck in with his own decoder pop-it keyring, fully prepped for his own miniature treasure hunt! 🕷️🔍

To everyone who showed up, solved clues, and made the night so vibrant: thank you. Your partnership, energy, and love for learning are what make Baton Elementary such a special place to be.

Keep popping those decoders and happy reading!
