We are so grateful for the generosity and support of the Hickory Lady Elks! 💜

Yesterday, Seymour and Marisa visited Baton Elementary School to present a generous $500 donation to support our students. The Hickory Lady Elks are a volunteer auxiliary group that works alongside the Hickory Elks Lodge to raise funds supporting children’s charities and community programs right here in our community.

We are excited to build this meaningful community partnership and deeply appreciate the Lady Elks for investing in our Baton Bear scholars! We plan to use this donation to provide student supplies and rewards that recognize and celebrate academic achievement.

Thank you, Hickory Lady Elks, for supporting our students and helping us make a difference in the lives of children!

📸 Welcome to Baton Elementary School… according to our “stock photos”! 💙🐻

We kicked off our day with a little fun and a whole lot of creativity! Staff teams were given 15 minutes to create their own hilarious “stock photo” representing elementary school life—and our teams did not disappoint! 😂

It was the perfect 15-minute reminder that while we take our work seriously, we know how to have fun together, too!

The activity ended with staff introductions and one pretty amazing discovery: when we added up all of our years in education, the staff at BES has over 800 years of experience! That is more than eight centuries of knowledge, dedication, stories, and probably a few copier-related meltdowns.😂

What a fun and lighthearted way to start a day of learning, collaboration, and building our team. We are ready, we are excited, and we are looking forward to an AMAZING year at Baton Elementary!

A room full of educators, a whole lot of information, and just enough coffee to convince us that we’re completely prepared. 😂☕️

Our teachers are officially back, spending this week in meetings, learning, planning, and getting ready for an amazing year!

Baton Elementary has been named a National BETA Elementary School of Merit! 🎉

This recognizes schools that demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, character, and student achievement. In other words… all that learning, leading, and classroom chaos is paying off! 😂📚
