❄️ Why are thyroid patients always cold?
When your thyroid slows down (or is gone altogether), your metabolism slows too. That means your body doesn’t burn energy as quickly, and one side effect is being cold 24/7 — icy hands, freezing feet, bundled up when everyone else is in shorts.
It’s frustrating, but sometimes all you can do is laugh about it. From piling on scarves in July to carrying a sweater everywhere you go, thyroid patients become experts at surviving “frostbite chic.”
💜 If thyroid disease has taught us anything, it’s how to adapt — and how to laugh through the tough stuff.
👉 Drop a ❄️ if you’ve ever been the coldest one in the room (no matter the season).
