IB@GB World Religions students learn about religious celebrations and services by attending them as well as reading about them and hearing from speakers. Last week, some of our students attended the Dewali celebration at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir. Students said it was so much more meaningful spending time in the temple for the event.

We are happy to honor junior Sophia Soto for being an outstanding role model in IB Psychology as an Inquirer and senior Yasmin Rajaee Moosavy in IB Chemistry as a Balanced student. Both were nominated by our IB faculty as our IB Learner Profile October Students of the Month. We're so proud of you, Sophia & Yasmin!

Our IB faculty have chosen Ashley Gleason and Meghan Gul as our Outstanding IB Seniors. Ashley and Meghan are role models for their peers in striving to be knowledgeable, principled, caring thinkers who aim to be internationally minded people who create a better and more peaceful world.

Ashley will be attending UC Davis to study Animal Science & Management and Meghan plans to study pre-med after spending this next year preparing for the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in Azerbaijan in 2022.

We're so proud of both of them!

Congratulations to Yasmin Rajaee Moosavy! She has been selected by the IB faculty as the Outstanding Junior for the 2020-21 school year because she has been a role model to her peers in living out the IB Learner Profile. We are so proud of her!

Congratulations to our GBHS IB Student of the Year scholarship winner, Sahar Jandaghi Alaei! A gracious, warmhearted person, Sahar has grown in all facets of the IB Learner Profile and been a role model in carrying out the IB Mission to create a better and more peaceful world. She will be attending UC Davis to study biological science and then pursue a medical degree. We are so proud of her!
