Children in classes Infants through Get Set 2 will have their photos taken on Tuesday, October 13th, while children in classes EPS through PreK 2 will be photographed on Wednesday, October 14th. Meet our Pre-K 2 teacher, Ms. Chelsea! She has a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and will have her Master's in Teaching Learning and Curriculum come December. Ms. Chelsea has been with Goddard for 3.5 years. Prior to Goddard Ms. Chelsea spent 9 years teaching in preschools and elementary settings. Her favorite thing about teaching is the silly things children say. In Ms. Chelsea's spare time she likes to do escape rooms.

Past families rave about the strong social-emotional and academic foundations their children gain under her guidance, making them well-prepared for kindergarten. Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
