Hello, I am Anthony (T.J.) Hodges. I am running for a Director At-Large seat on the Woodward-Granger Community School District Board.

My wife, Alicia, and I have four boys and have been in the WG School District for 4 years. Our boys are Ashton (8th grade), Hayden (6th grade), Colton (3rd grade) and Gunner (Kindergarten).

Our family moved from Ankeny, IA in the fall of 2020 after spending 10 years in Ankeny. We lived in Woodward for 1 ½ years before settling into our home in Granger. The move to WG has been a blessing for our family and the School Board is a way for me to give back.

Professionally, I work for Peoples Bank, in our Clive, IA. office. Peoples Bank is a family owned community bank. I enjoy working locally and its given me the opportunity to build strong relationships that are mutually beneficial while also being heavily involved with local organizations. I expect to do the same on the School Board so that I can understand the needs of our district and students as well as the expectations of our community. My attitude is that there is always a solution and it’s found through meaningful and productive communication. I will work to fully understand the WG District so that we can position our teachers and students for the highest level of success financially, educationally and athletically.

Personally, I spend time with my family as much as I can. Typically, that involves the boys activities / games and coaching nearly year round. I love doing that and I’m thankful for all the relationships we’ve built along the way! We also take every chance we get to hunt and fish and my wife loves to have family and friends in our home.

If given the chance, I look forward to the opportunity to serve the WG School District. I appreciate your consideration.
