Our Automechanics elective gives students the opportunity to learn far beyond the traditional classroom setting.

In this lesson, students headed outside to enjoy the beautiful weather while learning hands-on automotive skills. They explored what is underneath a vehicle, learned how to properly lift a car to change a tire, examined connections behind the wheels, took notes, asked questions, and participated directly in the learning process.

Mr. Hollister consistently goes above and beyond for his students, bringing engines, tools, and even entire vehicles to campus to create meaningful, real-world learning experiences. These are the kinds of lessons students will remember for years to come.

At GCS, education takes place both inside and outside the classroom. We are committed to giving students engaging opportunities that build confidence, practical skills, curiosity, and teamwork in a Christ-centered environment.

Admissions are still open for families looking for an education that combines academics, hands-on learning, creativity, and mentorship that truly impacts students’ lives.

From elementary to our middle school art studio classes, our students are learning how to look closely at illustrations and break them down into simple shapes. By finding circles, squares, rectangles, and simple lines, they are discovering how complex drawings can become approachable and achievable.

Students are learning not only how to dissect images to make them easier to draw, but also how to expand their artistic skills through different mediums. Using pencil and charcoal, they are exploring light, shadow, texture, and depth while building confidence in their creative process.

We are so proud of the focus, creativity, and growth happening in our art studios. We see you, young artists, and we are thrilled with your progress.

Admissions are still open for families looking for a Christ-centered education that encourages creativity, academic growth, and artistic exploration. Come see what makes our community so special.

The last week of electives is here, and throughout the school you will find students working hard on their final projects for these fun and creative classes.

Here is our videography class working on a “breaking news” style project where students teamed up to interview fellow students, staff members, and teachers on creative topics such as: “Lunch Detentions: Fair or Not Fair?”, “Automachanics Class: The Female Perspective,” “Elementary Injuries and Protocols,” and “Cell Phones in Elementary Classrooms: Is It a Thing?”

Each group selected their own topic and is transforming their ideas into a video presentation using storytelling, interviewing, teamwork, and media production skills.

We cannot wait to see what these great minds create. It is always exciting to watch students grow in creativity, confidence, communication, and collaboration through hands-on learning experiences.

Admissions are still open for families looking for a Christ-centered education that encourages creativity, innovation, and real-world learning opportunities.

One of the many exciting electives our students enjoy at GCS is our golf elective. Students are learning the fundamentals of the game while building focus, patience, coordination, and confidence in a fun outdoor environment.

From practicing their swings to encouraging one another, these students are developing skills both on and off the course. We love seeing students explore new interests, stay active, and grow through hands-on learning experiences that encourage teamwork and perseverance.

At GCS, electives give students the opportunity to discover talents, build friendships, and try something new in a Christ-centered environment that supports the whole child.

Admissions are still open for families looking for an education that combines academics, creativity, athletics, and meaningful extracurricular opportunities. Come see what makes our community so special.

Elementary recess at GCS is filled with laughter, imagination, movement, and friendship.

From climbing and swinging to spinning, sliding, and exploring together, these moments outside give students the opportunity to build confidence, strengthen friendships, stay active, and simply enjoy being kids.

We love seeing our students learn not only inside the classroom, but also through play, teamwork, creativity, and joyful experiences throughout the school day. These are the moments that help create a strong and connected school community.

At GCS, we believe childhood should be filled with learning, faith, friendship, and fun.

Admissions are still open for families looking for a Christ-centered education where students are known, supported, encouraged, and given space to grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Our House Competition fun continues! 🎨☀️

Last week, students completed Minute to Win It (Part 2) before shifting their focus to preparing for the Parking Lot Chalk Competition. Houses spent time designing their chalk spaces, encouraging thoughtful creativity, collaboration, teamwork, and school spirit.

Tomorrow, May 13th, students will bring their designs to life as the parking lot transforms into a colorful display of imagination, creativity, beauty, and house pride.

We love watching our students work together, encourage one another, and use their unique gifts in ways that build community and lasting memories throughout the school year.

Who do you think will create the winning design?
