A really fun class for the kids. MaKs mandatory and social distancing is done very well. We love this class and there’s still time to sign up. We are doing the Harris branch.

Join us in January for the return of STEAM Squad! STEAM Squad (Age 6-11) is a 40 minute session where children will explore hands-on projects that incorporate multiple STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) skills. Children are encouraged to interact socially with other children and attend sessions independently.

Please note: Due to the upward trend in COVID cases among youth, MPHPL is requiring masks during Children and Teen Programs for all attendees (age 2 years and older) regardless of vaccination status. If you need a mask, please see Staff. We appreciate your cooperation as we navigate through these difficult times.

Important to note: The STEAM Squad session originally scheduled for Tuesday, January 11, at the Harris Branch has been cancelled due to a utility failure.

This is such a fun event IF you feel safe being indoors. Masks are mandatory and fully enforced. We did a trial class a few weeks ago and the girls had a blast. The librarians did an amazing job of keeping kids socially distanced and they had sooo much fun. They got to play with robots and technology and even create light up play doh. Join us on Tuesdays at the one here in Granger on Elm Rd. ** you do not have to live in Mishawaka/Granger or have a library card for this

I know we’ve had a hard time finding activities we’ve deemed ‘safe’ for the kids. We found this great cooking class that starts Wednesday for anyone interested. I’ll include the link. The chef is from Atlanta and she said it’s a good class for 5-10 on avg. If you have any suggestions please share those as well! We are also doing a dance in the park (masks mandatory) and horseback riding.

You will purchase the food ingredients ahead of class time and provide the safe work space in your home kitchen. The safety of your child is very important and I recommend that an adult is available to your student during the class. The adult should help with setting up the work space as the student...

Tomorrow is the meet up at St. Pat’s…can’t wait to see everyone there! Meet at the River Ramble Playground (go right after you pull past the gate and then take your first right past the farm playground. Feel free to bring your teens and husbands too! Everyone deserves to get out and enjoy some fresh air and fun in a safe way.

Thank you to everyone who came out today. It was wonderful meeting so many families and watching the kids play & interact! I am leaning towards weekly meet ups (attend what you can). For next week I will keep Friday as our go to day. We can see about maybe adding in a different day on occasion if anyone wants to attend and Fridays don’t work. I’d love to hear any thoughts or suggestions as always! Our next event details to come very soon!

Tomorrow is the day! Our first meet up! We are going to meet at Cobus Creek to meet other homeschool parents and let our kids play. We will meet in front of the sensory garden that’s just past the small play area. We will let the kids explore the garden and fields before doing a hike around the park. Please remember to mask up if you are closer than 6’ to another family and spray down well with mosquito repellent.
