Election Day is just 60 days away. Mail in ballots go out in about 3 weeks! Those registered to vote in the Grandville School District will be voting for 3 school board candidates. There are 5 candidates running for the 3 seats. Amy Campbell is the only incumbent, the other four candidates are Emily Berlin, Nick Brock, Greg Warsen, and Roger Whisman. S.O.S.Grandville is looking forward to learning more about the candidates. We sent a 10 question survey to each candidate and asked them to return it to us by September 9th. We will publish their responses on our web site, www.sosgrandville.com when we receive them. We look forward to learning about these 5 candidates and we hope you do too!

We know we have a pretty great school system here in Grandville but it’s nice to see recognition from others outside the area! Congratulations to the administration, teaching staff, and support staff who make it all happen and thank you to the parents who support the district by approving millages and bond proposals that allow Grandville to offer a wide variety of classes and programs. Finally thank you to the students for putting in the hard work getting those excellent scores!

A recognition worth celebrating:

Grandville High School has been recognized among the top 15% of nationally ranked high schools in the 2026-27 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings.

GHS also ranked among Michigan’s top 10% for both college readiness and college curriculum breadth.

Behind those numbers are students and staff putting in the work every day. We’re proud to see their efforts recognized. 🐾

Once again, we wish Roger a happy retirement! Grandville is so fortunate to have benefited from his leadership, compassion for students and staff, and love of our community.

As he says goodbye to Grandville Public Schools, retiring Superintendent Roger Bearup is being remembered for his relationship-focused approach to leadership.
