The Columbia County Sheriff's Office would like to take this opportunity to warn the public regarding a new identity theft scam involving Amazon.

Please take a look at the attached photo. People have been receiving these letters by both regular and e-mail, indicating that a hold has been placed on your account and all pending orders until such time as billing information can be verified.

Unsuspecting people will tap on the link, which directs you to a website that looks like it's Amazon, but in reality it's a data mining site that steals your identity in order to secure mail order merchandise under your name and bank account.

Don't fall for this! If you have questions or real concerns about your Amazon account, contact Amazon directly through known and trusted links, and not through links provided in e-mails or text messages.

Let's get our hands dirty. What do you say Grandview FCCLA?

Good news, everyone! Kenyon's has approved our usage of this building at 300 W. 2nd St. As you can see, it is very close to our previous location. Also, it is much bigger so there is room to grow and to offer even more programs to help students! We are excited to get started again, but first, there is a ton of work to do to get it ready. We will be working from now until October 1 to get the space ready. It needs cleaning, painting, plumbing, electrical, decorating, moving storage items in, and possibly re-flooring one area. If you have some expertise in any of these areas and would be willing to help, let us know. We will schedule some specific work days and times and post them here soon. Thanks to everyone for all of the support, encouragement, help, and prayers over this past month!
