Want a part time job with your kids?

LINC is seeking to fill part-time positions in LINC Caring Communities Before and After School programs at elementary and middle schools in area school districts.

Positions are available in the North Kansas City, Kansas City Public Schools, Hickman Mills, Center, and Grandview school districts.

We are looking for professional, fun and energetic staff to work with students K-8th grades.

General requirements

Must be 18 and have a high school diploma.

Must have social security card and photo ID.

Child care, youth development, or education-related experience is preferred.

Background screening required.

If selected, you will be required to submit physical examination and TB test results.

COVID-19 vaccinations are needed for working with children. LINC will help you get vaccinated if you need assistance.

All part-time staff are required to take 12 training hours per year. LINC pays for these trainings but they sometimes occur outside normal working hours.

CHASE CURIOSITY: This weekend the Meadowmere Mechanical Maniacs competed in a FIRST Lego League qualifier at Olathe Northwest High School. The team of 4th and 5th graders walked away with two awards. The team won the Robot Performance Award and the Champion’s Award which is the highest award for a qualifier. This award is for best all-around team.

Plan ahead when coming to Meet the Teacher tomorrow!

Due to a large event at The Grandview Amphitheater on Thursday, August 18, please be prepared to expect heavy traffic and possible delays getting to Meadowmere Park in the afternoon/evening. We suggest carpooling and giving yourself extra time if headed to the park for soccer and football practice. Thank you for your cooperation!

School supply giveaway tomorrow. You must be registered for school already (in the Grandview C4 District). No other requirements for this one. Be ready to wait in line.

Everyone looking for the Volunteer Info session times: I have Covid now, so I need to cancel both. New plan is to do a video with info and comment threads for people. Will probably be tomorrow bc talking causes coughing fits right now.

Do you need assistance with online enrollment, a physical for your student, get your tech needs addressed for the year, then please come out to the Back To School Bash. We will have games, food, prizes, and Kona Ice. See you all on August 6th from 12-2 PM.
