VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED!

"Aside from falling in love with the philosophy, structure, and fantastic lessons within the program, what I didn’t anticipate was the reward I would gain personally. Each season brought a new crop of boys to work with and consequently teams of varied strengths and challenges. What surprised me was how much the boys evolved throughout the course of a single season. They grew not only as runners but as citizens of our community. The boys that showed up at our first practice were quite often very different than the boys at the 5k. New leaders, risk takers, and hard workers would emerge within every season. Let Me Run provided a safe place for these boys to be their true and best selves. This was a meaningful process to witness."

It's going to be a beautiful night for a tree lighting on Thursday! Join Mayor Leonard Jones as he lights the tree decorated with beautiful ornaments painted by the Meadowmere Elementary School 4th graders. Grandview High School Choir will perform, Grandview Fire Department is giving a ride to our special guest (hint: he wears red and has a beard) and we'll have free hot chocolate and cookies! See you 6PM.

The 2nd graders at Meadowmere Elementary School wanted to give back to their community and hosted a cereal drive. They collected almost 400 boxes!!! WOW!!! Thank you so much for all your kindness and thinking of others!

Custodian Appreciation Day is this weekend, so we celebrated early! Meadowmere Elementary School has the best Custodians!! They are NACHO average custodians!

🙋🏾‍♀️ Hello, I'm Ms. Tiffany and it has been an absolute joy to teach in my hometown, growing my own studio family, for nearly a decade.

I launched TDA 9 years ago when I realized the need to revitalize youth dance in our area. The wonderful folks at Grandview Parks & Recreation agreed and have been amazing partners to our program ever since - providing us a studio home and recital space.

Just sharing a little about me since we have so many new families joining this summer. 😊

Grandview families:
Starting Monday, June 14th, we will be providing all children between the age of 1-18 FREE breakfast and lunch.

Meals for 5 days will be available for pick up on MONDAYS.

Meals will be available at Conn West Elementary (front of school) & Grandview High School (look for the yellow bus in the front of the school).

Jasmine and our teledentistry team improved more smiles last week at Meadowmere Elementary School! 😁🦷😃🦷Our teledentistry pilot program is providing a great, convenient service for families in Belton and Grandview schools. We are proud of our efforts and are excited to see what the future holds for teledentistry in Cass County and the surrounding area!

Our teledentistry team visited Cambridge Elementary School and met a lot of kids eager for healthy smiles! 😆😁😄 We only have a few stops left on the teledentistry tour before we wrap up for the year!

Just a shout out of appreciation! Having Mr Tapp and Coach Charles out front during school drop off has been incredibly helpful. Appreciate the way they help direct groups of cars into stops, help kids out of cars, and are simply there adding a sense of security for our kids! Thank you!

Enrollment is upon us!

Attached is a GAP flyer with information about their School Supply Giveaway Saturday, August 12th, 2023. Students will NOT be able to get school supplies and a back pack if they are not enrolled.

Please remember that Transportation CANNOT be guaranteed if your student/s are not enrolled by 8/4 and CANNOT be guaranteed to attend the first day of school if they are not enrolled by 8/11.

Meadowmere Celebrates The Great Kindness Challenge!
January 23 – January 27For more information, go to
http://thegreatkindnesschallenge.com Meadowmere will join over 18 million students in over 36 thousand schools in over 110 countries to participate in The Great Kindness Challenge!! The Great Kindness Challenge is based on the simple belief that kindness is strength. Your child will receive a Kindness Checklist on Monday to complete throughout the week. The idea is to perform as many random acts of kindness as you can. We encourage the whole family to get involved, so a copy of the GKC Checklist—Family Edition is on the back of this sheet. If your child completes at least 40/50 items on one of the two lists, they can get it signed by an adult at home and bring it back to school by Friday, January 27th for a small prize. If your student is completing the Junior Edition, they will need to complete all 12 items. We will also be celebrating kindness by having special dress days throughout the week.

Monday—“There is No Cap on Kindness”—wear a hat
Tuesday—“Tied Together by Kindness”—wear a tie and/or a bow Wednesday—“Being Kind is no Sweat”—wear sweats
