Grandfield FFA has been busy over the past few weeks!

Four of our members attended FFA Alumni Camp, where they had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and connect with FFA members from across the state. It was a great experience that will help them grow as leaders in our chapter and community.

Our officer team also spent two days on a planning retreat, working together to prepare for the upcoming school year and organize activities for the fall semester. Their dedication and teamwork have us excited about what lies ahead.

Ag Mech shop has not stopped students have been working all summer.

Grandfield FFA has been giving the opportunity to participate in a Autophotography grant this year. Grandfield FFA students have the opportunity to build real-world skills, explore career pathways, and help tell the story of agriculture while making an impact close to home with a camera.

We are looking forward to another great year of learning, leadership, and success at Grandfield FFA.

Grandfield FFA finished out the 2026 school year with a huge bang.

Twenty-one FFA members attended the 100th Anniversary of the Oklahoma FFA State Convention in Tulsa. Along the way, members enjoyed stops at Express Ranch, Topgolf, and Roosevelt’s before convention activities officially began. Convention kicked off with excitement and enthusiasm from the state officers as members attended all three sessions on the first day and wrapped up the evening at the Tuesday night concert which was the Great Divide. Students also participated in workshops and delegate voting throughout the next day.

A special congratulations goes to Landry Hunt for representing the chapter by placing third in the state proficiency award competition. During the final session, Abby Whittington, London Franco, Landry Hunt, Braden Garlington, and Cooper Henson represented our chapter on stage as they proudly received the Oklahoma State FFA Degree.

On Monday evening, 55 members and more than 100 guests attended the Grandfield FFA Banquet. We were honored to begin the evening with guest speaker Chairman Caldwell, who shared an inspiring message about the importance of FFA and the impact it has on preparing students for leadership, responsibility, and success in the real world.

The officer team awarded 13 Discovery Degrees, with Natalie Wood receiving the Star Discovery Award. Thirteen Greenhand Degrees were awarded, with Lici Daniels named Star Greenhand. Twelve Chapter FFA Degrees were presented, and Bailee Ferguson earned the Star Chapter Award.

Several members were also recognized with scholarships, leadership awards, and sales achievements. London Franco received a scholarship from the Rose Garden Club. Cooper Henson and Landry Hunt each received scholarships from the Ag Boosters, while Landry Hunt also received the Terral-Tatum Scholarship. Leadership awards were presented to Lexi Baker, Bailee Ferguson, London Franco, and Braden Garlington.

Jayda Hull and London Franco were also recognized as the chapter’s top Blue & Gold salesmen for their outstanding fundraising efforts.

Members were also recognized for their accomplishments throughout the year, including:

* 22 members in public speaking
* 32 members in ag mechanics
* 5 members in shooting sports
* 41 members in leadership activities
* 18 livestock exhibitors

Distinguished Service Awards were presented to Tisha Henson and Ryan Hunt for their continued support and dedication to the chapter.

The Class of 2026 officially retired their jackets following a heartfelt retiring address from Cooper Henson. The evening concluded with the installation of the 2026-2027 officer team:

* President — Lexi Baker
* Vice President — Aubrey Hunt
* Secretary — Serenity Hammond
* Reporter — Kaselyn Cruthird
* Treasurer — Acelyn Wood
* Sentinel — Bailee Ferguson

Saturday, Grandfield FFA members had the opportunity to give back during our Annual Community Cleanup Day! We spent the day serving our community by helping local residents with outdoor cleanup and property improvements.

We are proud to serve the community that supports our FFA Chapter so generously while also helping make Grandfield a better place.

A special thank you to Tillman County District 3, the City of Grandfield, our amazing FFA parents, and Bubba Wilson for providing lunch for our members, we always appreciate your support and our community partners!

A huge congratulations to our students at the Regional Speech Contest this week! Aubrey placed 2nd and qualified for Area with her speech, and Landry placed 3rd. These two, along with eight other FFA members, have put in a lot of hard work all season. I’m very proud of everything they’ve accomplished this year in public speaking.

This Saturday, April 18, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, our greenhouse will be open. Stop by to build your own pot or purchase flowers and support our FFA members!

We also have a group of FFA members available for maintenance and new construction projects. This week they have done trailer floor and custom fire pits, pergolas, standing flower gardens and metal signs—if you have a project in mind, please reach out and we’ll see what we can do.

Thank you for supporting our FFA program!
