Celebrating Curiosity Through the 3rd Grade English Multi-Genre Project
After spending the semester researching topics that sparked their interest, students showcased their hard work through a variety of writing pieces, presentations, and creative displays.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the project was seeing the wide range of topics students chose to explore. From topics like bacteria and tortoises to Simone Biles and famous landmarks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, each project reflected the unique interests and passions of its creator.
As students shared their work, their excitement and confidence were evident. They eagerly explained interesting facts they had discovered, showcased their writing, and answered questions from visitors. The project not only strengthened their research and writing skills but also gave them an opportunity to become experts on a topic they genuinely enjoyed learning about.
The Multi-Genre Project was a wonderful reminder that learning becomes even more meaningful when students are given the opportunity to explore their interests, think creatively, and share their knowledge with others.

Our MS Hybrid students recently enjoyed a special Chinese Tea experience hosted by NPC international students (and now alumni) Bruce and Ruby Lyu and their father. Mr. Lyu shared the rich traditions behind Chinese tea culture, explained the different types of teas grown in China, and demonstrated the proper way to brew loose-leaf tea.
Students sampled several varieties (and some discovered they actually like tea! βΊοΈ) while learning a few cultural insights along the way including that a full cup of tea from a host may be a gentle hint that it's time to head home! π
Experiences like this are one of the many ways our students grow in cultural understanding and develop a global perspective at NorthPointe Christian Schools.
π Would you consider opening your home to an international student? Hosting is a meaningful way to build lifelong relationships, share your family's culture, and help a student feel at home while studying in Grand Rapids. Many host families find the experience to be just as enriching for their own family as it is for the student.

π§ Sabbath mode: ON.
The construction crew may be off today, but we're still smiling about the progress being made on our new Elementary STEM Addition. Tomorrow, the machines will fire back up and the work will continue!
For now, we'll let the excavator enjoy a little rest. π΄

π© Happy National Donut Day! π©
What better way to celebrate than by looking back at one of our favorite elementary traditionsβDonuts with Mom! A few weeks ago, students had the opportunity to share a sweet morning with their moms and special guests. We are grateful for the incredible women who partner with us each day in raising and nurturing our students.
