For those who saw Calvin and student news this morning, you may notice here that there is a DATE CHANGE. Join us on Friday, May 7th on Commons Lawn for our annual ‘You are Loved’ photo! Come wearing your ‘You are Loved’ t-shirt from this year or years past. If you don’t own a shirt, that’s ok too! Bring your happy self and join us for a tradition that helps our students know how loved they are at Calvin. Masks will need to be worn, which may make for a strange photo... but this was a strange year, so why not document it! 💜

Tonight at 5:30 pm, SAGA students plan to meet outside Peet’s with chalk. We will walk around campus together chalking these words of love and welcome on Calvin’s sidewalks: “You Are Loved”, “You Belong Here”, and the SAGA logo. Calvin students, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend and express that all of our students are loved at Calvin.

There are a myriad of perspectives on human sexuality, particularly in the Christian community, and at Calvin we value open, honest, and thoughtful dialogue across difference. So whether you come from a traditionalist or affirming background, or somewhere in between, we welcome you to a grace-filled conversation about how to be a good ally.

Calvin understands that with more alone time and extended distance from support systems, students who struggle with compulsive p**n use may be looking for access to online assistance. The Sexuality Series office has compiled a list of virtual resources that we hope you find useful. Whether you have sought help before or are just starting your journey, remember you are loved, and you are not alone!
