This week, our 3rd graders learned about September 11 and the heroes who ran toward danger to serve and protect others.

Students talked about the courage and sacrifice of firefighters and first responders, and Quinn bravely “stepped into the shoes” of a firefighter by trying on the gear and sharing what it felt like.

We are grateful for opportunities like this to form the whole child, growing in knowledge, empathy, courage, and gratitude for those who serve others. 🙏

Today, we remember Sept. 11th, 2001, and the lives forever changed.

Join us in praying for those who lost their lives, for the families who continue to carry their loss, and for the countless heroes who served and continue to serve with courage and sacrifice.

May we place our hope in God, who is always with us, and choose courage, compassion, and unity.

Our 8th graders are kicking off their final year at SPA at their Leadership Retreat! As they grow in faith, friendship, and leadership, we pray they continue to discover how God is calling them to use their gifts in service to others and to live life to the full.
