What a week to be a Davenport Panther! 🐾✨

Our alumni community showed out in full force for two incredible events this past week. From hitting the links to hitting the ballpark, it was a blast catching up, networking, and making memories!

⛳ Alumni Golf Outing – We kicked things off with a fantastic day on the course. Perfect weather, great swings (and maybe a few mulligans), and even better company.
⚾ Whitecaps Baseball Outing – We kept the momentum rolling with an awesome night at the ballpark cheering on the Whitecaps and enjoying some classic summer fun with fellow Panthers.

Today, we join the nation in celebrating a historic milestone for 250 years of freedom, community, and progress.

We are so proud of our Davenport alumni network and the ways you continue to shape the future. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful 4th of July filled with family, friends, and fireworks! 🎆❤️🤍💙

Honoring a Legacy of Excellence: Dorothy Elizabeth Downton 🖤

The Davenport University Alumni Association mourns the passing of an extraordinary alumna, Dorothy Elizabeth Downton.

After graduating first in her class from Davenport, Dorothy went on to make history, serving as the trusted Personal Secretary to President Gerald R. Ford during his time in the White House. Her meticulous files remain preserved today in the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library.

Dorothy’s brilliant career also included roles with the FBI and the Associated Press, where she was known for her absolute integrity and dedication.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her husband, David, and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will always inspire our Panther community. 🐾
