YouthBuild Grand Rapids

This week we have another completed GED attainment! Moments like these remind us not only how far we've come but why we make the sacrifices we make to achieve our goals. The entirety of the youthbuild staff is so proud of him and can't wait to see what doors he's going to be opening in this new chapter of life. Congratulations!

Thank you GRCC for giving us a tour of both the main campus and the m-tech center! It was a blast and our studnets were given the oppurtunity to learn all about what GRCC has to offer, these partnerships mean the world to us here at youthbuild!

First look at the shelves for SECOM on burton! Will come with more updates next week on our shelving remodeling project at their business!

This Thursday our students volunteered at Trinity Lutheran Church, assisting with organization of the items in a large-scale annual rummage sale! Be sure to check out their massive sale this Saturday (5/2) at 2700 Fulton Street E., Grand Rapids. Everything must go!!

We are grateful to the Home Builders Association Foundation for their generous $15,000 grant supporting Bethany Christian Services’ YouthBuild program. Thank you for your continued partnership and belief in young people. YouthBuild provides youth the opportunity to earn their GED while gaining either a construction certification or customer service certification, setting them on a path to long term success. We appreciate your commitment to building stronger futures and stronger communities.

Youthbuild back at habitat this week! Getting some finishing touches on the exterior of the units and doing tha' thang!! Big thanks to Habitat for Humanity for being such great partners to work alongside with on these jobsites, means the world and more to both our staff and students.

Happy to share Youthbuild has begun working with habitat yet again! Thank you to habitat for humanity for partnering with youthbuild and contributing so much to our PACT classes and cohorts.

Come visit us here at YB to learn more about our program through information table! You'll now be able to come into the GRCCT and sit down with our YB program coordinator to discuss details about YB. This would apply mainly to anyone interested in the Youthbuild program or know any youth that would be eligible. Thank you for taking interest in what we do here to serve the community at Youthbuild and we hope to see a lot of bright faces in the coming weeks! Simply enter through the stairs on the side of the building leading into door C. (if there is ever an interruption in the schedule for the information table a social media post will be made to give you all a heads up.)
