🚨 Tioga Access on Pokegama will be closed starting today for much needed upgrades.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, the Tioga public landing will be fully closed for DNR upgrades. Reopening is planned for late October.

People will be able to access the upper lot and the pit via the furthest south access road and Tioga Beach Rd will remain open during construction.

Meanwhile, our AIS team is shifting the hot water decon station to Mishawaka Landing on the 8th.

💧 Free hot water decontaminations — 7 days a week — will continue without interruption.

A survey crew with the Itasca County Soil and Water Conservation District aquatic invasive species program found zebra mussels in the LaRue Mine Pit near Nashwauk.

The DNR inspected the mine pit and found both immature and adult zebra mussels. Additional details in the link in comments.
