ONE MONTH LEFT! School is almost out, and we are counting down the days until summer!! We have a busy month of May! Tune into our social media to see everything that is happening! We have quite a few field trips coming up. Make sure you are checking with your scholars to make sure that they have what they need to attend! 8th Grade Parents- please check in with your 8th Grader to make sure they are eligible for the promotion ceremony! More information on events will be posted in the coming weeks!

M-Step testing begins tomorrow! Don't forget to show up to school ready to test in your first hour classes! Tuesday's test will be Reading + Social Studies, and Wednesday's test will be Math + Science. Make sure that you eat a good breakfast and get lots of rest tonight!

It's MAP testing week! Don't forget to come prepared because testing starts tomorrow! This is the last round of MAP testing for the year, and we want to see your score keep going up! English testing will take place in English classes tomorrow and Wednesday for all grades, and Math testing will take place in Math classes on Thursday and Friday. Get lots of sleep and come to school ready to do your best on this test!

The city of Grand Rapids allows residents under the age of 17 to get a free pool pass if they register before Monday, May 25th! Head to grparks.info/poolpass26 to register for your pass. Follow City of Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation for more information regarding this!

6th Graders are heading to the zoo on Thursday. Over the course of the school year, the 6th graders have worked with the zoo to identify native plants and animals and work to preserve their habitats. The scholars will spend Thursday capping off this partnership! Don't forget to turn in your signed permission slip before Thursday, and bring a rain jacket and closed-toed shoes for the zoo. Lunch will be provided, however students can bring money to purchase something from the gift shop if they would like!

PSAT testing is tomorrow April 14th. Please ensure your scholar arrives at school on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best. A positive start makes a big difference—let’s show up ready to succeed

And just like that, it's the start of Spring Break! We hope everyone has a safe and restful Spring Break. We will see you back at school on Monday, April 13th. When we get back, we are kicking off the testing season. Remember, the best practice for testing is to get lots of rest and eat a good breakfast!
