Sacred Heart Academy is a preK-12 parish apostolate of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish dedicated to assisting families, forming Catholics, and cultivating culture. Our educational ministry of serving families with children in preschool through 12th grade is rooted in the sacramental life of the Church. While growing in love of what is true, good, and beautiful, students are formed and edified by dail

y Mass, weekly Adoration, and monthly reconciliation. Love and Integrity. Love is the motive: what draws and excites the students should be a love of the thing studied. Love is also the aim. If we can speak in the tongues of men and angels, but we are not driven by love, then we just multiply the din that is our declining culture. Integrity. Integrity refers to the “wholeness” with which we address our work. Academic subjects are really artificial definitions in a common pursuit of one, unified Truth. We aim to form students according to the entirety of their persons - mind, body, soul. Our curriculum from Montessori to high school Humanities looks at objects and their integrated whole first and then particulars later. It is better to know what a thing is in itself before you dissect it, whether it be a poem, a painting, or a frog.
