Introducing the 2026-2027 Leadership Team for Teresa House!
As the most recent House Cup champions, Teresa House has officially gone back-to-back! The question now: can they make it a three-peat next year?
Go Teresa!
•
House Overview: Inspired by Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who devoted her life to serving the poor and answering Christ’s call to “quench the thirst for love and souls.” Mother Teresa’s focus on prayer, service, and sanctification shapes the heart of Teresa House.

Happy Summer, Cougars! ☀️
As another school year comes to a close, we wish all of our students, families, faculty, and staff a blessed, joyful, and fruitful summer. May God watch over you in all of your travels, adventures, work, and time spent with family and friends. Take time to rest, grow in your faith, and appreciate the many blessings that surround you.
We can't wait to welcome you back in August.

McKenzie Hollern Southerington '11 didn't just attend Catholic Central; she grew up inside it. Her grandparents met here. Her grandfather, Deacon Dale Hollern, served as principal for twenty years. She met her husband, Luke '11, in these hallways. Today she's back as the cheerleading coach.
Now she sees CC through a new lens: as a mom. With three little ones — Joseph, Marigold, and a third on the way — high school is still years off, but she's already planning (with spreadsheets and all).
Her goal? "To raise saints," she says. "Everything else is secondary."
For McKenzie, the Catholic Promise is more than financial relief. It's a signal that the formation she wants for her children is within reach — and an invitation to lean in.

Congratulations to Junior Rowan Kozminksi on an incredible achievement! 🇺🇸
As part of the U.S. Department of Education’s 1776 Award Program, Rowan competed in a national U.S. Civics exam and earned a place among the Top 4 scorers in the State of Michigan. He then advanced to the Regional Semifinals, competing against 39 outstanding students from across the Midwest — and finished 4th overall!
Next stop: Washington, D.C. ✈️🏛️
On June 9, Rowan will compete in the National Finals alongside just 20 students from across the country. The semifinals included film crews on site, and the competition may even be televised in the future!
We’re proud that Rowan represented not only the Midwest and Grand Rapids, but also Catholic Central, giving CC a shoutout during his interview.
Join us in wishing Rowan the best of luck as he heads to our nation’s capital!

Gabby Rivera pulled to the side of the road to read an email — and ended up in tears.
Since she and her husband, Daniel, moved from Honduras to Greenville, they'd dreamed of sending their twins to Catholic Central. But as a single-income family with two kids entering high school at the same time, the math felt impossible. Then the Catholic Promise arrived — what Gabby calls "a wink from God."
This fall, Rod and Vivi join the Class of 2030. Vivi will find the academic challenge to match her ambition. Rod cannot wait for football and engineering courses. And the Riveras will have the partner they prayed for in raising their children in the Catholic faith.
"Each piece fell into its place," Daniel says. "We're just so grateful."

On Wednesday May 20th, freshmen from Catholic Central explored hands-on career opportunities during this year’s MiCareerQuest, an interactive career awareness event designed to connect young people with high-demand industries and local employers.
Hosted with support from Michigan Works! and regional education and industry partners, the event brought together more than 150 employers and organizations to showcase careers in fields including advanced manufacturing, agriculture, health care, skilled trades, transportation, public safety, and information technology.
Through interactive exhibits and demonstrations, students had the opportunity to experience potential career paths firsthand while learning directly from employers about the skills, training, and education needed for future careers. Activities throughout the event encouraged students to explore industries that are critical to the region’s workforce and economic growth.

Last week, Teresa House served lunch to our Heartside neighbors. This is what being "men and women for others" is all about!
“The person who gives with a smile is the best giver because God loves a cheerful giver.”
Thankful that our students are dedicated to being servant-leaders.
