The registration deadline for the Wisdom in the Age of AI conference at Calvin University is quickly approaching on September 18. This premier conference features keynote speakers, dynamic panel discussions, and six focused tracks exploring the role of artificial intelligence in education, church, business, healthcare, the arts, and technology.

The AI and church track is sponsored by the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship. The Saturday main-stage session will feature:

What if worship music has become more than music?

In a recent Religion News Service article, CICW staffer Paul Ryan raises a provocative question about the role contemporary worship songs play in Christian communities:

“Or would he pick up his acoustic guitar and say, ‘Sing this in remembrance of me?’”

The question opens up a larger conversation about how music shapes our experience of God, and what happens when singing becomes one of the primary ways we encounter the sacred.
