Children’s Workshop is a play-based nurturing preschool for 2 - 5 year olds. From Prehistoric hands- on learning to 🦖 exploration that’s out of this world 🌎 and everything in between 🎨, our teachers are ready to pretend, build, get messy, and celebrate with every child.

Dear CW family,

Sadly, this winter, we lost another former CW staff member, “Miss Karen” (Fife).

Miss Karen worked almost 20 years at Children’s Workshop in both the Preschool 3’s with Miss Deb and in the Toddler’s with Miss Gloria and Miss Cheryl. She was a welcomed sub after she retired to spend more time with her hubby Earl and her family.

She is fondly remembered as dedicated, kind-hearted and hard working often taking home extra projects, and always adding her special touch to everything she accomplished at CW.

As a former elementary school teacher, Miss Karen shared her passion for teaching, thoughtfully applying her many skills to work with the children in whatever classroom she was supporting at the time.

She was an avid reader, loved her bible studies, and was an amazing crafter enjoying trips to Shipshewana and creating so many beautiful items including her well known quilts. Miss Deb still treasures the one that she made for her from Preschool 3’s.

She is remembered by staff for her kindness, quick smile, and great sense of humor, even dressing up as a toddler one Halloween. The staff lunch conversations were often about the latest book she was reading or crafting project.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Now there will be an empty chair at Olive Garden when we enjoy our alumni staff luncheons. Our thoughts and prayers and love go out to her husband Earl and her daughter and granddaughter.

A Celebration of Life is planned for this Saturday, April 11 at Holland Home 2121 Raybrook Street Grand Rapids.

Happy World Down Syndrome Awareness Day! Yesterday, some of our staff wore t-shirts and mismatched socks to show their support. We love ALL our students…spread the love today by wearing mismatched socks!🫶🏼💜

We have Tween openings for the ‘26-‘27 school year!

Calling all will-be 2.5-3 year olds! 📣 If your child will be 2.5-3 years old come August, we have openings in our Tween room for them!
