After 8 transformative weeks in Guatemala, our students are back and heading into Phase 3. We gathered at a Christian retreat center (The Hermitage) for a day of silence and solitude. A time to pause, reflect, and listen.
Through prayer, journaling, and community, we looked back on God’s faithfulness and opened our hearts to His invitations for the months ahead. What a gift to rest in His presence and be reminded that He is always at work in us and through us!
What’s one way you’ve seen God’s faithfulness in your life recently? Drop a comment below!

Phase 1 (September-December)
- Experience intentional community
- Learn under local ministry leaders
- Engage in local ministry
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Phase 1. The first few months of Bridge Year are filled with everything from beach days to times of silence and solitude. We share meals, wrestle with tough topics, get to know our neighbors and do life together.

Phase 2
(January- February)
-Immerse yourself in a new culture and context
- Learn from global ministry leaders native to the context they serve
- Support the long-term work of our ministry partners
- See the fingerprints of God in the beauty of His creation
During Phase 2 we travel for two months to Guatemala. We recognize God is working in Guatemala long before we arrive (and will be there long after we depart).... but for a short amount of time, we have the honor of experiencing His Kingdom in a new culture and context. During this time our students learn from and support the long-term work of our ministry partners. We also make sure to take time to explore the natural beauty of God’s creation in Guatemala. Some days our students find themselves serving in local schools and others roasting smores on the side of an active volcano (true story) but in all of it we recognize God is using this experience to form us and further his kingdom

Phase 3(March-May)
Bridge Year is a gap year with a purpose. A season of equipping and empowering young people to be all God has called them to be. Phase 3 is where this all comes together.
During Phase 3, we prepare our students to be sent out into what God has next. Students identify their core values and develop a personal mission statement. We explore their God-given gifts, skills, talents, and passion and help them step confidently into what God has next.
