Due to the recent elimination of the global development studies program at Calvin, we are sorry to announce that this conference has been cancelled. We wanted to thank all those who walked alongside us through this process and those who have supported FIDC in the past.

To all sponsors and attendees of the Faith & International Development Conference:
Thank you for your support of the FIDC over the last 14 years. Past directors and conference mentors have enjoyed seeing everyone make their way to Michigan each February to deepen their understanding of development and make connections with other schools and nonprofits.
As you may have guessed by now, there will not be a FIDC 2020. This gap year will allow the FIDC team some time to re-evaluate how the conference is to be structured so it can best benefit attendees, sponsors, and speakers.
Some big changes may include a new conference name, as well as a different weekend during which the conference will be held. We'll be sure to update our page with these important changes so you know when to mark your calendars!
We are excited for an event that can reach a larger audience and invites students from all over the country to learn how they can serve God through development. Thank you for your continued commitment and we’ll see you at the next conference!

The documentary play SEVEN tells the true stories of seven women who bravely fought for the well-being of women, families, and children around the globe. FIDC has chosen to put on SEVEN to highlight the work of women in their indigenous communities that spoke out about injustices to combat the narrative that the savior complex often portrays.
Here is a sneak peek of our first promotional photos for this powerful play!
SEVEN is being directed by Emily Wetzel, a Calvin '16 theater grad. The February 9th matinee showing is open to the general public - we hope to see you there!
