An education in Quality Science creates foundational knowledge to avoid errors in production.
Paulette Zebell, Quality and Training Manager for Atlas Molded Products agrees there is significant value in a Quality Science education.
“They can contribute faster," Zebell shares, "They make fewer mistakes, solve problems quickly, and can understand the ‘why’ behind what they’re doing. That’s a lot different than someone who is just following instructions. Over time, their knowledge reduces scrap, improves efficiency and creates consistency. ”

Yesenia Salgado had to put her education on pause while raising her children and pursuing her career in healthcare. Now 18 years later, she has completed her associate degree and walked the commencement stage.
In addition to fulfilling a promise she made to her parents to finish college, Yesenia is proud to set an example for her 17-year-old son.
“He saw me doing this with three kids and working full time,” Yesenia said. “Now he wants to go to college. I shared how hard I struggled to move up in a company without a degree. I wanted him to see the importance of getting an education.”

Sa recently completed her BSN at Davenport University as the first college graduate in her family.
