For the entire month of August, her beautiful paintings will be featured at Wealthy Street Bakery. Stop in to enjoy fresh pastries, sandwiches, pizza, and coffee while supporting both local art and a wonderful local business.

Join us for a special artist reception on Saturday, August 22, from 5:30–8:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

Grand Rapids Montessori graduate Dayton Harris-Payne overcame a lot on his path to a diploma. First, his life was rocked by the shooting death of one of his closest friends. Then, during his senior year, he lost his grandmother to cancer. Sometimes it felt like too much to bear. "I thought it was over,” Dayton said. “I was like, I don’t want to go to school." He made it through with the help of the teachers and counselors at Montessori — a community he likens to a family. “That’s how I feel school should be.
