💙🖤 🦅

The Grand Rapids Christian High School Class of 1975 had such a great time celebrating their 50-year reunion last year that they decided to do it again! ✨

This throwback takes us back to their senior year with a collection of yearbook photos and memories from a class that continues to value friendship, connection, and Eagle pride decades later.

We love seeing the lasting relationships and community that continue long after graduation. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle! 💙🖤

🎓💙🖤 192 graduates. 192 stories. One faithful God. 🦅

At GRCHS Graduation 2026, we celebrated the Class of 2026 and all it took to reach this moment. Every cap and gown represented a unique story of growth, perseverance, faith, and community.

As graduates walked in together, we saw Community. As they received their diplomas, we saw Commitment. And through it all, we were reminded to walk with Christ—the source of both.

Graduates were encouraged to remember that their story is part of something bigger than themselves. Wherever God leads them next, may they let their light shine and carry the story of Christ into the world. ✨

We are proud of who they are and thankful for the parents, families, and staff who helped shape this remarkable class. 💙🖤

💙🖤 to 1935 and the Student Participation Council at GR Christian High!

The Student Participation Council had already become “a permanent fixture at GR Christian High” during just its second year of existence. Weekly meetings were filled with lively discussions and student leadership as members worked to represent their classmates and strengthen school life.

The Council organized student committees, supported chapel and assemblies, encouraged student talent, and even helped secure a special “pep” song for Christian High. Leaders included President William Huizingh, Vice-President Don Bouma, Secretary Marjorie Goudzwaard, Treasurer Ruth Jurgens, and faculty adviser Mr. E. R. Post.

The yearbook noted that “a great share of the success of the Council is due to the wise and efficient guidance given it by Mr. Post.” What an amazing glimpse into student leadership and school spirit nearly 90 years ago! 💙🖤

Photo roster:
Top row: Van Dyken, Velzen, Hoekema, Broene, Doezema, Borgman.
Middle row: Dekker, Bel, Hoogsteen, Van Andel, Jurgens, Molemaker, Stevens.
Bottom row: Bouma, Mr. Post, Goudzwaard, Huizingh, DeJonge, Keegstra, Van H**p.

💙🖤 Celebrating Our Evergreen 5th Graders 🦅

During the final chapel of the school year, we took time to celebrate our amazing 5th graders as they prepare for their next adventure. ✨

Students shared memories of friendships, Kindergarten buddies, Lego League, the Green Team, Camp Scotty, Terra Firma, Zoo Week, IB Exhibition, field trips, and even the simple joys of a small school community—like playground games, big lockers, and snowy winter mornings at Evergreen.

What stood out most was their gratitude: gratitude for teachers who encouraged them, friends who supported them, families who guided them, and a school community where they felt known, loved, and challenged to grow.

Their teacher, Mr. Park, reminded them that while they are leaving Evergreen, they do not walk into the future alone. God goes before them, beside them, and within them. He encouraged students to stay curious, embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, follow their passions, and trust the gifts God has given them.

We are so proud of these students and the people they have become. Thank you for the joy, kindness, curiosity, and energy you brought to Evergreen. Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. 💙🖤

The Eagles Classic was a wonderful day of community, connection, and golf!

Thank you to each of our sponsors, golfers, and friends who helped make this event such a meaningful success. Your generosity benefits the Eagles Fund and directly supports each student at GRCS as they grow in faith, learning, and purpose.

We are grateful for the way this community continues to show up for our mission of preparing students to be effective servants of Christ in contemporary society.

🎶💙🖤 GRCHS Choirs Shine at State Festival! 🦅

We are incredibly proud of our Grand Rapids Christian High School choirs! All four choirs earned top scores at the District Choral Festival in February, qualifying them to participate in the State Festival alongside 80 choirs from across Southwest Michigan. ✨

Performing for university-level adjudicators, our ensembles sang beautifully and received ratings of I and II (Excellent and Good)—placing them in the top 30% range of point values.

We are so proud of these students for embracing the challenge, discipline, and artistry required for an event of this caliber. Congratulations on an outstanding achievement, Eagles! 💙🖤🎶
