GRPPD venue Change Effective Immediately
Hello, loved ones, we have some good news and some complicated news. Let's start out with the good news. Good news is that our beloved Richmond Park is not only getting a brand-new parking lot, but the playground area is slated to be redone in Spring of 2026.
Now the complicated news, because they started the parking lot upgrades. They're not going to be finished anytime soon. Therefore, we need to relocate for this year. Our relocation destination is Boulder Park aka Highland Park (700 College Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). I'm currently working out the site map. It's going to be completely new to us.
We will not have the traditional setup, and you may be required to manually bring in your supplies. So, if you have a wagon or some way to move your equipment, we suggest you bring it. We are going to attempt to create a path that we could hopefully drive in, unload, then park.
Most Importantly, we need your help! We need you to bombard your social media with our venue change. A lot of our patrons are used to Richmond Park. We have been there for 25 years. People just show up. We're going to have signs posted at Richmond leading them to Boulder. But the more people we have spreading this by word of mouth, emails, Facebook, the better chances of everyone showing up in the right location.
This park is located centrally in Grand Rapids off 196. We're going to suggest that once you get off the highway, take a turn (left or right depending on which direction you're coming in on) to College. Take college to Lydia. Go down Lydia and turn right into Grand Avenue. The park will be on your right at the end of the road Frontage Street
