Welcome back! I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays and are looking forward to starting a new term. The BLS board is definitely excited to bring you guys some great networking, and career building opportunities. Tell your friends to come check us out at the Org Fair on Thursday, January 24th. Also, don't forget to attend our first general body meeting of the term on Tuesday, January 29th from 12-12:30pm. Hey everyone! I would just like to thank everyone who participated in BLS's Mock Interview Program. The program was a complete success! The attorneys said they had a wonderful time and met some very qualified students. I hope you all learned a lot from the experience. Remember "Practice make perfect", so keep up the good work guys!!

Members of the Young Lawyer Section of the GR Bar and BLS members at the Habitat for Humanity community outreach event

Thanks to everyone who came out to support BLS and the Young Lawyers Section of the Grand Rapids Bar this weekend at our community outreach build with Habitat For Humanity. It was a very rewarding experience and it's great to see young people working together to better the community. Keep up the good work! Be on the lookout for upcoming community outreach events hosted by BLS, and remember sign up to become a member of the GR Bar Association. Thanks again!

Get your resumes ready!!!! BLS is hosting a Résumé Workshop on TUESDAY, January 17th from 12 - 1pm in Room 529. We have a group of local attorneys coming in to meet with you and give you some tips on how to build an amazing résumé to land you an interview!!

Today is the Grand Rapids Bar Association's Annual Holiday Mixer from 5-7pm at the Amway Grand Plaza. We will be meeting in the lobby at Cooley at 5pm for those that want to join!!! See you there!
