Steepletown Preschool

Steepletown is supporting the food distribution efforts at TheOther Way Ministries’ food pantry. With the recent shut-down of all the preschools, Kitchen Sage has lots of milk, meatand fresh produce to bring to their food pantry. In order to best coordinate community-based efforts and maximize efficiencies, Steepletown will continue to work closely with The Other Way Ministries. Their food pantry is located at 710 West Fulton Street and is open 5 days a week, M,W,F in the AM (9am-11:30am), and Tues 9am-6pm, and Thur 9am-3pm. If you are in need of food, current instructions are to go to that location where you will be asked to identify items that are needed. Volunteers will then box and bag those items and bring them outside to those waiting; it is possible that volunteers will also bring the items to someone’s car. The Other Way is also setting up a home-delivery program for those who are stuck at home or have no transportation. To contact The Other Way Ministries’ food pantry, call 454-4011.Finally, if you are still experiencing difficulty in feeding your family, call Steepletown at 451-4215, ext. 101 for other possible resources.

While we are certainly in unfortunate times with the coronavirus pandemic, here at Steepletown we want to make sure our families are doing okay over these next few weeks. We realize that for some of you, simply having food in the house for the family may become increasingly more difficult. Therefore, if you have need for food for your family, please give us a call over here at Steepletown and we will make sure this need is addressed; 451-4215, ext. 101. Know of our continued prayers for the health and well-being of our Preschool families and be assured of our support if needed.

Steepletown invites you to join us for a presentation by Lisa Knight offering her perspective on the bishops’ pastoral letter on racism called Open Wide Our Hearts, approved by the US Catholic Bishops in November of 2018. Lisa is the VP & Chief Operating Officer of the Urban League, and has been doing community trainings on implicit bias for many years.

Due to illness amongst staff and students steepletown preschool will be closed Monday November 4th.

We will also be closed tomorrow for professional development.

Due to a power outage all Preschool and Early Head Start programs are cancelled today.

It was a big week at the preschool with a few amazing readers! Thank you R.E.A.L Dads and the great Ms. Libbie for coming in and reading!!!

Second Annual Parent/Staff basketball game was another successful, and fun game! Thanks to all who helped and participated.

Big shout out to Blandford Nature Center for coming in and showing off some of their animals!

We had a fun visit on Monday, and we are excited for more animals to come today when Blandford Nature Center visits!
