While law schools have taken some knocks in recent years for graduating too many lawyers for the market, there is a demand for qualified, well-trained paralegals that has yet to be met. Last night, over 200 GVSU students listened to the powerful words of Jennifer Thompson, Crime Survivor and Wrongful Conviction Advocate. While sharing her experience with a horrific assault and a flawed justice system, she also spoke of the power of forgiveness and the ability of crime victims to reclaim the narrative that has been stolen from them.
