Happening tonight ✨ Join us in the FLEXgallery at 5pm for the reception of "Tension & Tenderness," featuring artists Michael Pfleghaar () and Lisa Walcott ().
Through vibrant still life compositions and kinetic sculptural gestures, both artists render the familiar strange and the mundane poetic. Together, their practices explore stillness and movement, structure and fragility, humor and vulnerability, inviting viewers to reconsider the weight of wonder and ordinary things.
"Tension & Tenderness" is on view through Nov. 15 in the KCAD FLEXgallery (WNF Building, 17 Pearl St NW).

Looking forward to enjoying a beautiful evening celebrating the winners of ArtPrize 2025! 🥳
Join us tonight from 6:30-10pm at Studio Park 🙌
Good morning, Michiganders and ArtPrize attendees!
We have got an absolutely beautiful forecast to round out this year's ArtPrize Awards Ceremony. After a rather warm, summer-like day, temperatures will start to cool off as we head into the evening. Temperatures should be around 80 degrees around the start time of the Ceremony, before lowering rather quickly into the low 70s and possibly even high 60s by the end. Outside of temperatures, clear skies, no rain, and light winds out of the west should make for a pleasant time outside.
Congratulations to the winners of this year's competition and we really hope all of you in attendance enjoy the show!

Master of Architecture students spent last summer exploring Italy 🇮🇹 and soaking up the social, cultural, and human influence on the country's built environment—and now they're inviting us to step inside their journey. 💯
Assistant Professor Omar Deegan challenged students to not just experience, but record, capturing the sights, forms, and feelings of their travels through sketching and photography.
Check out "Critical Travel: M.Arch Students' Journey Through Italy" just inside the entrance to the KCAD 17 Fountain St. NW building. 👀
