: As you plan activities for preschoolers, remember that flexibility is key. You may begin to talk about gardening and a child will tell you about a worm they saw in their garden. This could lead to more talk about worms and how they affect the soil/garden. By following the children’s lead, you can add activities to your classroom, such as adding soil and worms to your texture table, reading books about worms, and looking at them through a microscope. This will allow them to be involved in classroom activities in an exciting, meaningful way and maintain their interest in learning.
