On February 21 2026, Grand Rapids Chinese Language School families gathered with Chinese Association of West Michigan to celebrate the Year of the Horse .

The venue was beautifully decorated with traditional calligraphy, red lanterns, and festive decor that brought the spirit of the New Year to life. Families enjoyed children’s paper-cutting crafts, a lively photo booth, red envelopes for the kids, and a delicious New Year banquet featuring 12 dishes symbolizing reunion and good fortune.

We had a wonderful time celebrating the 2026 Chinese New Year, the Year of the Horse!
