Beginning the evening of Sunday, February 22, 2026, Knollcrest Circle will be closed from Lake Drive to the south entrance of Lot 7. This will be a hard closure, with fencing surrounding the area (including across the roadway) and metal barricades at both ends. The road will remain closed through October 2026 due to football stadium construction. Please plan accordingly.

Pedestrian Overpass Elevators - Unreliable at this time
Please be aware that the pedestrian overpass elevators are currently not operating reliably due to extreme cold and blowing snow. We understand this creates an inconvenience, particularly for those who rely on elevator access. Unfortunately, these elevators were not designed to function in the current weather conditions. Facilities staff are actively monitoring the situation and clearing snow from the tracks as conditions allow. At this time, the elevators should not be relied upon for service.

The Grounds team was on campus Sunday to clear snow from sidewalks, entries, and high-traffic areas. However, the sunny conditions caused some of that snow to melt and refreeze overnight, creating icy patches across campus walkways and roads.
With the temperatures we are currently experiencing, salt is ineffective on this type of ice. Our team continues to monitor conditions, but please use extra caution as you move around campus today.
Thank you for your patience and care—your safety is our priority!
