Last week, we did another WFA course at the MSU Natural Resources. GO GREEN! A fantastic bunch of students. We had a great time.
We still have room in our WFA course next weekend. Can you share this to help get the word out.
Hiking season, camping trips, paddling weekends, scout outings, and backcountry adventures are here.
Here’s the question:
If someone got hurt miles from help, would you know what to do?
Our next Wilderness First Aid course is coming up May 16 & 17 in Rockford, MI.
This class is designed for hikers, campers, paddlers, outdoor leaders, scout leaders, guides, teachers, and anyone who spends time away from quick emergency response.
Learn practical, real-world skills for injuries and illness in remote settings.

This looks fun!
The best training is the kind you can picture yourself using later.
This Wilderness First Responder course is built around practical skills, realistic scenarios, teamwork, and decision-making under pressure.
No fluff. No nonsense. Just strong training for real outdoor situations.

For this post, I did not use any AI pictures, audio, or anything. How do you like it?
That is where wilderness medicine gets real.
WFR training helps you learn how to assess the patient, prioritize problems, make a plan, and manage care when transport is delayed and resources are limited.
It is not about memorizing a few steps. It is about learning how to think clearly when the situation is messy.

We had a great time presenting a wilderness first aid (WFA) course at Cranbrook Schools again this year. The campus here is incredible! This coming weekend, we are back up in Munising for another WFA course! FYI-we have a hybrid wilderness first responder (WFR) course scheduled to start in April. There is information on that on the website www.MIOutdoorEd.com
