Commitment Alert: Skye Wegener
We’re excited to welcome Skye Wegener to Aquinas Women’s Rugby.
Skye comes in as a high-level athlete with a strong competitive background, spending four years on varsity soccer while competing with TOA Selects, USA West, PNWs Selects, Washington Selects, and Badger Selects. Her experience across multiple elite programs speaks to both her consistency and ability to perform at a high level.
A proven leader, Skye has served as captain for her club team for the past two years and has also led TOA, PNWs, Washington Selects, and Badger Selects. She brings not only skill, but a clear standard of accountability and leadership that aligns with our program culture.
Off the field, Skye is just as impressive—earning High Honors while serving as Student Body Service Director, demonstrating her commitment to both academics and leadership within her community.
We’re excited to see the impact Skye will have on and off the pitch.
Welcome to the AQWR family!!

Committed!! Vaeh Hearvey
We are excited to welcome Vaeh Hearvey to the Aquinas Women’s Rugby family! Vaeh comes to us from Morton West, where she has already built an impressive reputation in just two years of rugby. Playing at flanker and No. 8, Vaeh brings physicality, determination, and a relentless defensive presence to the pitch.
Her impact has been recognized with the Brick Wall Award, a testament to her toughness and defensive strength, and she helped her team qualify for the Girls State Championship. Vaeh’s athletic ability extends beyond rugby as well she has earned Defensive Player of the Year honors and recognition in the West Suburban Conference in her other sports, showing the kind of competitive drive and versatility that makes great athletes stand out.
Vaeh is the type of player who embraces the hard work, the contact, and the responsibility that comes with playing in the back row. We are incredibly excited to see her continue to grow and develop at the next level, and we know she will make a powerful impact both on and off the field.
Welcome to the AQWR family, Vaeh.
