There's NEVER a dull day in the land of ECE!!!

Fiber moved through one of my babies here in daycare that mom gave him on his way to school and it was itching that t**h. What did he do, reached back, dug in and scratched, what a 2 year old would do. Nothing but 💩 in hand!!! 😂😂😷 SHUT DOWN PRODUCTION!!!

Everyone had to vacate while I cleaned him, the room and anything I thought he touched, the sanitized and deep cleaned and disinfected the entire classroom.

The kids did good sitting in the other room while this took place.

Too darn early in the morning for the shenanigans!!!!

Part-Time Daycare Teacher (20–25 Hours/Week)
Start Date: End of December / Early January
Location: STEAM Creative Scholars Preschool – Grand Rapids, MI

We are seeking a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Daycare Teacher to join our growing in-home early learning program. If you love working with young children, enjoy hands-on STEAM activities, and thrive in a nurturing, structured environment, we’d love to meet you.

Position Details:
👉🏾Schedule: 20–25 hours per week
👉🏾Start Date: End of December or early January
👉🏾Pay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience & qualifications)
Setting: Small group environment focused on STEAM learning, social-emotional growth, and kindergarten readiness

Responsibilities:
👉🏾Support the Lead Teacher with daily routines, lesson activities, and classroom management
👉🏾Engage children in hands-on learning centers, outdoor play, and sensory/STEAM-based activities
👉🏾Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
👉🏾Build positive relationships with children and families
👉🏾Follow licensing standards and program policies

Qualifications:
👉🏾Experience working with children (home/center-based childcare a plus)
👉🏾CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain
👉🏾Ability to pass a background check
👉🏾Reliable, patient, and passionate about early childhood development
