Everbloom has served families throughout Grand Rapids since 2021. Today, we are proud to be part of the Garfield Park community, a neighborhood with deep roots, strong connections, and a long history of people investing in one another.
Everbloom’s location has changed over the years, our commitment to building strong relationships and community has remained the same. Every day, children and families arrive carrying their own experiences, traditions, languages, and stories into the classroom. Together, they create the community that makes this school what it is.
When families visit Everbloom, they are visiting more than a classroom. They are stepping into a community that continues to grow through the contributions of the children, families, guides, and neighbors who make it possible.
We are grateful to be here. ❤️

These words of our mission mean so much to us because they show up in ordinary moments every day.
A child choosing work independently. A guide preparing the environment with care. A family discovering that Montessori may be more accessible than they expected. A classroom where children are treated as capable from the beginning.
This is the work Everbloom is here to do, and we feel grateful to do it everyday. ❤️

We are so grateful for the partnership and support of Northern Initiatives.
Our Head of School, Emily, was recently honored to present to their stakeholder community – sharing the Everbloom story with the people who make NI’s work possible.
Organizations like NI make it possible for schools like ours to grow, serve our families, and invest in the future of our community.
Thank you for believing in what we are building here at Everbloom!

At Everbloom, we know nurturing children takes many forms of love, care, patience, and sacrifice.
Today we honor and celebrate all mothers and mother figures in our community, including those experiencing joy, grief, healing, hope, and every complicated emotion this day can bring.
Thank you for the countless ways you help make the world gentler and safer for children. 🤍
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Everbloom Montessori.

We had so much fun at our Spring Open House!
Many families joined us to meet teachers, have tours of classrooms, learn more about our school and programs, play together, and enjoy a meal!
We are so fortunate to share the evening with our friends at Family Futures and Vibrant Futures. Together, they shared resources about their programs.
Having both organizations in the room meant that families could learn about Everbloom and walk away connected to a whole network of support. That is the kind of evening we want to host!
If you missed it, we still have spots available for fall enrollment. Tours are available. Link here: https://www.everbloommontessori.com/contact-us

Do you see it? “Piegwi” -it’s the start of the word “Penguin.”
This moment is years in the making, and it’s a treasure to see and celebrate it. ❤️
It starts years before, when tracing sandpaper letters with two fingers, feeling each shape while hearing the sound.
Then come the sound lessons, learning to listen for where a letter lives in a word. The beginning. The middle. The end. Over and over, across years, until it is second nature.
Later, the moveable alphabet comes off the shelf. A wooden box of letters, red for consonants and blue for vowels.
Today our friend chose penguin. Set his little penguin on the rug, found p, then e, then g, all on his own.
We cannot tell you how proud we are when we watch this happen. The magic of this moment.
A child who has been doing this quiet, patient work for years, and then one afternoon it is all right there in front of him on the rug. It is the magic that they have inside them all along, and we are lucky to bear witness to it. ❤️
To our Montessori parents, families, and friends, what magic moments have you seen lately?

Have you seen these tiny bouquets in our classrooms?
In Montessori education, a flower arranging lesson introduces children to practical life skills by letting them select fresh flowers, trim stems with child-safe scissors, arrange them in a vase using tongs or pitchers for water, and care for the bouquet by cleaning up. This hands-on activity builds fine motor control, concentration, grace, independence, and an appreciation for beauty and nature's cycles.
We adore observing our friends gracefully compose a bouquet, and love that, no matter the age, everyone can contribute to an environment and community. ❤️
(We’re so happy to share that we receive our flowers from Wyoming Stuyvesant Floral - thank you for your kindness!)
