There’s a lot of emphasis on words like “effortless” or “seamless.”

I don’t know about you, but I want to see the effort.

I want to feel the seams, where two parts meet and make a whole. That’s the GOOD STUFF. That’s what makes photography interesting to me. When I’m scouring online for new props or gadgets or furniture pieces for, I always infinitely enjoy other sets and the “ugliness” of hanging cords or slight disarray - the WORK that happens before the portrait is taken - shows and I love it!

Drop those questions like it’s hot!

For my ***ir clients,

🖤 It’s more than having their photo taken.

🖤 It’s more than finding lingerie they feel beautiful in.

🖤 It’s even more than having their hair and make-up professionally done.

🖤 It’s a life-changing experience centered around self-exploration, body connection, confidence and healing.

This is the bar both and set because my businesses are about more than selling.

They’re a physical space for womxn to open up, feel confident, and know they’re worthy and desirable just as they are. 🥳📸🙌💋

This is what and I mean when we say “experience based retail”.

Unpopular opinion: That client closet and sharing lingerie doesn’t feel like a high end experience with your brand.

“But my clients talk about how they love it because they will never wear lingerie again.”

Then get them in pieces that they love so much they HAVE to have them. Make an emotional connection between the power they felt wearing it on shoot day and the power they can tap back into after their session when wearing it again. Educate them on the ways lingerie can be styled to wear out on the town. Buy pieces for your store that are special and unique that they can’t find anywhere else. If they can get a cheap set off Amazon or Shein then of course they aren’t going to feel attached enough to it to want to buy it or wear it again.

Lingerie as Outerwear is a HOT trend. Jump on it! As womxn break down societal standards more and more, it’s just going to keep heating up! Someone is much more likely to buy that $200 bodysuit if they know they can style it AND wear it outside of the bedroom.

BONUS: MAKE IT AN EVENT! just so happens to be a rockin stylist so partners up with her semi annually to put on a fashion show, showcasing the pieces in our boutique and how you can style outfits with lingerie! It’s a HUGE hit!

This is it. The time has come to pull back the curtain.

Those that know me best, or have been in my company at a session or on a retreat know what a HUGE accomplishment this is for me. Writing has always been something I've dreamed of but felt blocked by the fear of judgement- the internet is freakin unhinged ya'll. And when you've built a brand as powerful and large as I have, there's an expectation to show up a certain way with A LOT more to lose. So when I joined substack earlier this year to follow some of my favorite writers, I knew this was the perfect "safe" container to unload my heart and bare my soul. (And sometimes body 😈)

If I've learned anything from the 10 years of this empowerment work, it's that growth doesn't happen in the spaces of comfort, it happens in the discomfort of getting vulnerable.
