Tomorrow night, we’re talking about something that sounds simple but can be surprisingly hard to make room for: joy.

What are the things that genuinely make you happy? What have you been missing lately? And how do we make sure the things we enjoy don’t always end up at the bottom of the list?

We’re keeping this one easy and conversational. Come ready to share, listen, laugh, and maybe think a little differently about what deserves a place in your life.

We’ll also share more about this month’s giveback opportunity: the United Way’s Stuff the Bus campaign. There are several ways to get involved, and we’ll chat about all the details at the meeting.

🗓 Tuesday, August 11
🕕 6-8 PM

Let’s get our joyful hearts together and celebrate being in community with one another!

Join us next Tuesday, August 11th!

Joy doesn’t have to be earned.

We don’t have to put it on hold until the to do list is finished, the house is clean, or life finally slows down.

So, let’s take time to slow down and ask ourselves a simple question: What brings me joy?

Join us next week as we explore what fills our cups, what gets in the way, and how we can make a little more room for laughter, play, and joy in our everyday lives.

🗓 Tuesday, August 11
🕕 6 to 8 PM
📍 Old Central School

We hope you’ll join us. Everyone is welcome!

Three years ago today, I launched She Becomes into the world!

I had zero idea what I was doing, but I was armed with delusional optimism, pure stubbornness, and an unshakeable desire to build community and make an impact.

I’m deeply proud of the community and foundation I’ve built with love and authenticity. No matter how challenging things have gotten, I’ve never stopped believing it’s what I’m meant to do.

I’m currently in my rebuilding season. I’ve poured my whole heart into this work, but the business itself isn’t supporting me in the way it needs to. That has been a hard truth to face, but an important one.

Rather than continue down a path that wasn’t working, I got creative and looked for a new way forward. I picked up some project management contract work to create more stability, take the pressure off, and give myself the space to breathe, dream, and figure out what comes next.

And honestly, it doesn’t feel like I’m starting over. It feels like this next version of She Becomes reflects who I’m becoming, too.

Three years ago, I jumped off a cliff with a big dream and trusted I’d learn how to fly.

Now I’m choosing to jump into the unknown again. The difference is that this time, I’m bringing three years of experience, an incredible community to lean on, and a clearer sense of who I am and the life I want to create for myself.

To everyone who has supported me on this journey, thank you. I can’t begin to express how much it means to know you’re in my corner!

Here’s to Year Four. I can’t wait to see what we become together 💗

The Adventure Club hit a big milestone at the end of June when we went international and roadtripped to Winnipeg for a long weekend! 🇨🇦

We hit the road Friday morning and stopped for a picnic lunch at Lake of the Woods before crossing the border. Once we got settled into our VRBO, we headed to The Forks Market for a delicious dinner and spent the evening exploring the area. We walked by the river, did a little photo shoot by the Winnipeg sign, and enjoyed the beautiful weather. It was just what we needed after a day in the car.

Saturday was all about Thermea Spa Village Winnipeg. We spent the day making the rounds through the saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, cold plunge pools, and relaxation spaces, with a fabulous lunch in between. It felt so good to unplug and enjoy a restful and rejuvenating day together.

That evening, we ventured over to the Osborne neighborhood. It definitely was not our vibe, so we pivoted and headed to Assiniboine Park instead. We wandered through the English Garden and Sculpture Garden before enjoying another amazing meal at Gather. Our foodie souls were oh so satisfied on this trip!

On Sunday morning, we packed up and decided to stop for coffee before we got on the road. We noted that wished there had been time to stop at a garden center and maybe do a little shopping. The universe was like, “heard,” and led us straight to Lacoste Garden Centre, where we found great coffee, an amazing boutique, and the most beautiful garden center. Honestly, it was the perfect final stop before heading home.

Big thanks to Amanda Zubrick and Allison M. Anderson for being the best travel partners and friends. The magic of our complimentary brains is such a gift!

Summer adventures will be announced soon, and I can’t wait to share what’s coming up next 💗
