In 2018, Professor Peter Dobek first developed this conference to center on Sociability to encourage historians collaborate across disciplines and find common ground through the ways people interact. During the course of the Covid-19 Pandemic, many of us redesigned not only how we taught history but also how we conducted research – effectively how we socialize as a profession. We look forward to hearing about the ways speakers and attendees had to rethink their work.

Thanks for following our page! As we prepare for the conference in the Fall, we thought it would be fun to look back at some of the previous Great Lakes History Conferences. Found this gem in the GVSU Online Archives.
