🥳 so a thing happened this weekend!!
Today, we celebrate Mabel‼️ In 2010, she and her "sisters" were the first girls that Hewalenamo sponsored to ensure that they would graduate high school 👩🎓 and break the cycle of poverty.
11 years ago when I met Mabel I knew she'd choose a career in science 🥽 . This weekend she graduated and will soon begin her new chapter of life as a 💊pharmacy technician.
It's moments like this that makes the difficult days our non-profit has faced W O R T H I T‼️

Every additional year of primary school increases girls' lifetime wages by 10-20 percent. It also encourages them to marry later and have fewer children, and leaves them less vulnerable to violence. Thank you for being part of our work to ensure girls in Ghana have the tools they need to !
