Do you ever taste metal when you drink a glass of water? This can indicate that your water has a pH that's much lower than it should be, or it could have a high concentration of iron. A water treatment expert can test your water and set you up with the proper filtration system to address your problem.
Water filters are designed to extract a variety of contaminants from your drinking water. This includes chlorine, lead, VOCs, trihalomethanes, pesticide runoff, and cryptosporidium and giardia.
The process of distillation will purify water by heating it until only the water molecules evaporate, and then they condense in another part of the filter, leaving impurities behind. With this type of filter, minerals are added back in at the end of the process.
